Going an Extra Mile!
I am personally a big fan of cast iron cookware. As I can cook everything in it. Yes, everything pizzas, pasta, noodles, eggs and many other food items. You can also cook everything in cast iron from vegetables to all kind of meat. You can also use them for cooking sweets and desserts.
Now a day’s nonstick pans are made of Teflon globally. Teflon is not good for our health. They discharge different harmful chemicals when heated. These chemicals get mixed with food and make food toxic for us. Their cleaning is also very difficult and tricky. You cannot clean it with a sponge because its non-stick layer will be removed.
Moreover, you can only use wooden or plastic spatulas in these pans. Other spatulas may scratch their nonstick layer. If nonstick layer get removes these Teflon utensils becomes more dangerous. As foods will be in direct contact with the pan and all the chemicals under the layer get mixed.
We all are familiar with the advantages of cast iron. Cast iron cookware is durable and long lasting. Cast iron cookware can last years if they maintained well and can be repaired even when they are rusty. They can be used for decades. Many people I know are using pans of their grandparents.
